Southwest Missouri woman charged in plan to kill ex-mother-in-law Copyright Getty Images and last updated 2021-03-05 17:48:45-05 CAMDENTON, Mo. — A southwest Missouri real estate agent was charged Friday with conspiring to have her former mother-in-law killed. Leigh Ann Bauman, 43, was arrested Thursday afternoon and was being held in the Camden County Jail without bond. Bauman agreed to pay people in St. Louis $1,500 to make her ex-mother-in-law s death look like an accident, the Camden County prosecutor s office said in a news release. Bauman was upset that the woman was interfering with her relationship with her children, the prosecutor said. A witness recorded a conversation with Baumann about the plot.
