The death of a woman suspected of being killed by her ex-partner when her home was destroyed by fire is being investigated as a “death in police operation”.
A triathlete and veterinarian became the victim of a Feb. 13 murder-suicide in Carlsbad, Calif., authorities there say. Mary Knott, 44, died at the hands of Hilton Williams, 33. Williams was Knott's ex-boyfriend, both KGTV and the San Diego Union-Tribune reported. Both reportedly lived in Carlsbad.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) â A pact between a husband and wife not only ended their life, but also the life of their five-month-old baby.
On Wednesday, the Sierra Vista Police Department found three people dead inside a Port Royale apartment.
Officers responded to a suspicious circumstances call shortly before noon. They later walked into a heartbreaking scene.
âWe had someone calling in saying there were dead bodies,â said Corporal Scott Borgstadt.
Corporal Borgstadt, with the Sierra Vista Police Department says a family member saw the couple and their baby alive on Tuesday.
