Back when I used to travel to places in the before time, I would greet the sound of the plane’s wheels touching down on the runway with an exhalation and a little smile. I knew the odds were highly in favor of a safe landing, but it was still reassuring to hear that thunk. When a television show I’m enjoying is about to come in for a landing, I hold my breath more deeply, because the odds are much longer of making it to our destination in one piece. So many things about the way the medium operates work against the idea of a good finale, successful endings can feel like happy accidents.

Kaley Cuoco has been fielding her friends’ and family members’ best guesses about who the show’s mysterious murderer might be. One of her girlfriends swears it’s fellow flight attendant Megan; Cuoco’s father is convinced North Korean spies are involved. Another friend’s mother told Cuoco that she was disappointed the series made it so obvious that the killer is, of course, Miranda.
“Not one person guessed who it is,” Cuoco says with a laugh. “I think that means we made the right choice.”

Episodes 6 and 7 of HBO Max s murder mystery premiered on Thursday, December 10, and ended with the cliffhanger that saw Cassie Bowden (Kaley Cuoco) and Miranda Croft (Michelle Gomez) plan to trap Felix aka Buckley with Cassie posing as bait. The upcoming Episode 8 is the finale of Season 1 of the series and is titled Arrivals and Departures . It will premiere on December 17, 2020, according to the original schedule, at 3 am EST.
After finding out that Buckley Ware (Colin Woodell) was, in fact, Felix, the murderous man employed by Miranda s boss Victor (Ritchie Coster), Cassie and Miranda had devised a plan to catch and kill Felix. Cassie is to take her flight to Rome and pretend as though everything is normal and Miranda too will be on that flight. When Cassie arrives in Rome, Miranda has told her to make sure she isn t alone, but in groups, as she takes her airport shuttle to her hotel.
