HBO Max has renewed the hit comedic thriller THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT starring Kaley Cuoco for a second season, it was announced today by Casey Bloys, Chief Content Officer, HBO and HBO Max. The eight-episode first season premiered November 26 and had its finale on December 17. The entire first season is available to stream now on HBO Max.

HBO Max has renewed “The Flight Attendant” for a second season, the streaming service said Friday.
The eight-episode first season of the Kaley Cuoco comedy-thriller series launched Nov. 26 and debuted its finale Thursday. According to HBO Max, the show “saw week over week growth and ranked as HBO Max’s No. 1 series overall during its run.”
The first season of “The Flight Attendant” was based on Chris Bohjalian’s novel of the same name, following the story of how an entire life can change in one night. Season 1 starred Cuoco as flight attendant Cassie Bowden, who wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man – and no idea what happened. The darkly comedic thriller, which stars Kaley Cuoco and has been an early critical and popular hit for HBO s young streaming service, received a Season 2 renewal Friday, one day after the finale of its inaugural, eight-episode season.
The first season, which was based on the novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian, followed free-spirited flight attendant Cassie Bowden (Cuoco) on a harrowing and hilarious adventure that starts after she wakes up next to her dead one-night stand (Michiel Huisman) during a Bangkok layover.

This entire storyline felt like it was part of a different show all season long but it all came to a very satisfying conclusion, tied into the main story, and plays into how the show might do a second season (more on that later).
Megan (Rosie Perez) came clean to Cassie (Kaley Cuoco) about stealing information from her husband after Cassie came clean to her about Alex (Michiel Huisman). She began her confession with the word “apparently,” indicating the truth about what she was doing came as a big surprise to her, and explained how she was approached at one of her husband’s conferences.
