The Portuguese has been moved up from chief financial officer for continental Europe to chief financial officer for Europe. Aecom worked on several of the NHS Nightingale hospitals that were built last year Her appointment comes after the firm’s chief financial officer for the UK and Ireland Cheryl McCall left last November after 18 years at the business. At the time, an Aecom spokesperson said McCall was leaving for personal reasons.

Cuba Ransomware attack disrupts payment provider used by state and local agencies

Feb 19, 2021 | STATESCOOP City and state agencies have this month begun disclosing a recent ransomware attack against a widely used payment processing service. Bleeping Computer reported Thursday that the company known as Automatic Funds Transfer Services was hit by a ransomware attack around Feb. 3 when a group called “Cuba Ransomware” began stealing the company’s credentials and unencrypted files. According to the group’s website, it’s stolen “financial documents, correspondence with bank employees, account movements, balance sheets, and tax documents” from the company that processes paper-based payments for many state and local government agencies. Government agencies that have reported the attack this month include the California Department of Motor Vehicles, which on Wednesday disclosed that its last 20 months of vehicle registration records may have been compromised. Weaver, who spent more than three decades serving the Pennsylvania state government, including three years as the statewide chief technology officer, left in 2018 for Washington Technology Solutions, where he was tasked with turning around an organization that had built a reputation with its customer agencies as autocratic and uncommunicative. The date of Weaver’s transition to become the top official at the North Carolina Department of Information Technology hasn’t been finalized, according to WaTech’s announcement. The state also hasn’t yet named a replacement.
