The defibrillator at Boots in Albert Street.
A new site is being sought in Stobswell for a life-saving defibrillator after a “technical hitch” put it out of action.
Local residents are anxious to find a new location for the machine after Stobswell Forum was forced to put an out of commission sign on the unit located at Boots on Albert Street.
Colin Clement, of Stobswell Forum said: “This is disappointing but due to a technical hitch there we were forced to withdraw the defibrillator from use for the time being.”

Victoria Tait of the Stobswell Forum hands over some Christmas parcels to Kerry Anderson, a family worker for One Parent Families Scotland.
Since launching their Christmas Appeal last month the Stobswell Forum has been “blown away” by the response from the public.
At least 300 children and young people are to benefit from the forum’s appeal, which included setting up the North Pole Post Office and Christmas Drop-off shop on Albert Street where members of the public were invited to drop off donations for those in need in Stobswell.
The pop-up post office, which opens for the final time on Saturday, also gives children the chance to drop off their letters to Santa and receive a reply.

East Craigie JFC and Boomerang.
A junior football team have come up trumps with a massive food donation for Stobswell at Christmas.
East Craigie JFC have handed over five boxes of food and other items for the Stobswell Food Larder in the build up to the festive season.
Players, management, family and friends of the club have gone out of their way to gather together goods for the larder to ensure that no one goes without this Christmas.
Club president Willie Lawson said the club, which ran a similar donation drive earlier this year, had been delighted to help out again.
