LONDON â In what may be a perfect formula for helping a well-made TV show go viral, all five episodes of âItâs a Sinâ arrived on a British streaming service in late January, on the Friday before a snowy weekend, during a national lockdown.
Tributes are pouring in for
It’s a Sin and
Bridgerton actor Lynette Clarke, who tragically died earlier this week.
Clarke appeared in the first episode of the acclaimed Channel 4 drama as a nurse when Colin (Callum Scott Howells) goes go visit Henry (Neil Patrick Harris) when he is hospitalised with AIDS.
She also recently starred as a nurse in Netflix’s smash hit
Bridgerton.
To Kill a Mockingbird and
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. She later took on television roles in
Harley Street and
Topboy.
People who worked with Clarke have issued heartfelt tributes to the actor, including those who worked on Russell T Davies’ series
The stars of
It’s A Sin have paid tribute to cast member Lynette Clarke after it was confirmed that the actress died earlier this week.
Clarke played a nurse who speaks to Colin (Callum Scott Howells) when he goes to visit Henry (Neil Patrick Harris) in hospital in one of the series’ first emotionally charged scenes.
It’s A Sin casting director Andy Pryor shared the news on social media today (February 21), remembering Clarke as a “lovely, lovely woman”.
The cast of the show soon began posting their own tributes, with Howells writing: “I’m completely shook by this news today. I spent a really special day with Lynette and we told each other stories and laughed the whole way through.
