Gov. Jared Polis Friday blasted the Trump administration for failing to provide more than 200,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine it had promised the state it would deliver next week.
The vaccine was to be a one-time windfall from a federal government reserve to supplement the state’s regular allotment of 79,000 doses for the week. Polis said federal officials promised the extra supply in a phone call a few days ago. On Friday morning, word came that the reserve doesn’t actually exist.

President Donald Trump is an “imminent threat” to the country and should be impeached even if his ouster overshadows the first days of President-elect Joe Biden’s term, said U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette the week after the U.S. Capitol was breached in an insurrection.
“What we re trying to do is use every tool in our power to get this very dangerous man (Trump) removed,” the Denver Democrat told Colorado Matters.

Colorado’s newest congress member is off to a rocky start.
Less than a week after being sworn in, freshman Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert is facing calls for her resignation or expulsion from Congress over tweets she sent on the day of the Capitol riot.
Boebert tweeted that members were locked in the House chamber and then, a minute later, that Speaker Nancy Pelosi “has been removed from the chambers.” Earlier in the day, she tweeted “Today is 1776,” which her critics view as a call for armed revolution.
