City leaders announced on Tuesday more COVID-19 vaccines had arrived in Maury County.
On Tuesday afternoon, the health department received an updated vaccine supply and began providing vaccinations by appointment.
After initially running out of the vaccines last weekend, the Maury County Health Department received a new batch, but health officials said they supply won t last long.
The department confirmed that the replenished supply had been depleted by the following afternoon.
The local health department stressed that there will be limited appointments due to limited availability of the vaccine. Eligible members of the community, those 75 and older, can make an appointment. The local health department expected to exhaust the new supply within two days but will communicate when the next shipment arrives for those not able to get vaccinated during the short window.
