COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) board met Monday evening and recognized North High School student Trey Nebergall, who won the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce Maverick Challenge award for starting a media company. Nebergall says his idea for his business, called Aspire Group Media, grew out of his passion for photography.
In other business, the board honored Columbus North High School dean, assistant principal, and English teacher Susan Scott with the 43rd annual Hall of Fame Award for her career contributions. Also recognized were Columbus East state champion wrestlers Sam Morrill and Kade Law.
Superintendent Dr. Jim Roberts presented an update on the BCSC COVID-19 plan of action for opening schools. All K-12 students should be back in physical classrooms after spring break. The most pressing remaining questions concern how the school system will handle the prom and graduation.
