HOUSTON (AP) â The Houston Texans addressed needs at quarterback and receiver in the NFL draft despite tying a franchise low with just five selections this year.
Houston entered the draft without a first- or second-round pick because of its 2019 trade with Miami for left tackle Laremy Tunsil. New general manager Nick Caserio then made multiple trades on the last two days of the draft to leave them with even fewer picks.
âI just try to add good football players that are good people, that arenât afraid of competition, that are selfless and are tough, and they have certain skills or attributes relative to their position that we think they can add to our team,” he said. âAnd now we can look to improve and develop them.”

TCU vs. New Mexico
Yazmeen Ryan’s TCU Horned Frogs received a first-round bye in the NCAA Tournament. The Big 12 Champions met New Mexico in the second round. The Lobos advanced to the second round after defeating Navy on penalty kicks.
TCU started the match with a few half-chances. The Lobos’ avoided going down early and played at a frantic pace, pressing the Horned Frogs and forcing them into turnovers.
In the 28th minute, a miscommunication between two TCU defenders allowed Alesia Garcia to receive the ball at the top of the 18-yard box. She fired her shot past the keeper at the far post to give the Lobos a surprise lead.

WILSON, N.C. The University of New Mexico women’s soccer team’s historic season came to an end on Friday evening, falling to TCU 2-6 in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. The Lobos had a dominant first half and led the match going into the second 45′, thanks to a goal by Alesia Garcia in the 28th minute. However, it was not enough to hold off the Horned Frogs as they went on a four-goal scoring run in the first six minutes of the second half. Garcia scored another goal in the 79th minute, but the Lobos were unable to make a comeback.
