Indianapolis Dine Out program could return to help restaurants during March Madness

Jan 29, 2021 / 08:18 AM EST INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indy’s Dine Out program could return to help restaurants survive and thrive during March Madness. It’s still being discussed between the Indianapolis Department of Public Works, the mayor’s office and the city’s Department of Business and Neighborhood Services. Participating restaurants along Broad Ripple Avenue, Massachusetts Avenue and Georgia Street would be able to utilize street parking for temporary outdoor seating within the right-of-way. The “Dine Out” initiative was created for restaurants to safely reopen and accommodate customers during the pandemic last spring through Labor Day. Much of the business community believed it was a success.
