Thane: Gas tanker topples near Ghodbunder Road, no casualties reported
Thane: A tanker carrying propane gas toppled at Ghodbunder Road on Monday. However, no casualties were reported in this incident. The incident took place at around 11:15 pm, when a tanker (GJ06 AZ 8841) carrying propane gas toppled near Gaimukh area in Ghodbunder Road, Thane. The tanker was heading towards Jamnagar, Gujarat when the driver of the tanker lost his control leading to the accident, said an official from RDMC Thane.
The police and RDMC (Regional Disaster Management Cell) team reached the spot with quick rescue team, fire engine and 4 hydra cranes after the department received an alert call regarding the incident.

Indian markets are expected to open flat with negative bias. The SGX Nifty is currently ruling at 14,225 against Nifty futures’ Monday’s close of 14,254. Mumbai: Childless woman kidnaps toddler from Malad, traced in Thane
Malvani Police rescued a toddler who was kidnapped on Wednesday evening by a woman, who the complainant barely knew. The accused woman, Sapna, 24, was arrested from Thane-Ghodbunder Road based on technical evidence. Police said that Sapna planned to take the child with her to her hometown in Odisha and show that she was the mother. She has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for kidnapping.
Sapna, who works as a housekeeper and stays with her employers, used to visit the complainant s husband at his tailoring shop to stitch garments. On Tuesday afternoon, she approached the toddler s father and said that her employer tortures her, which is why she wants to quit the job. She, however, requested the man to allow her to stay for a day till she could arrange for another accommodation.
