Several cast members of long-running Australian soap Neighbours have come forward to claim they suffered racism and mockery on set.
Now cast member Sharon Johal, who is of Indian descent, has shared a statement online detailing how she tried to deny, bury and ultimately survive racist slurs from her colleagues.
Fremantle Media has appointed lawyers to investigate Neighbours amid a string of recent scandals, according to TV Tonight.
Former cast members Sharon Johal, Sachin Joab and Nicola Charles have spoken out against the long-running soap in recent weeks, alleging racism and abuse on set.
Most recently, Nicola claimed her former castmates once tried to get her kicked out of Australia.
