Sheriff s Office Joins TikTok and Others to Discredit Vile but Viral Claim

Authorities are discrediting an obnoxious claim that has been attributed to a TikTok posting, though it has not been found. The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is joining a chorus of law enforcement agencies, Facebook, TikTok and other social media platforms to add discredit to the repugnant claim of a “National Rape Day” on April 24 that has been proven to be a hoax but that continues to circulate. The obnoxious claim is that laws against sexual assault would be suspended on April 24, enabling attacks without consequences. “Millions of social media users have viewed or shared reactions to the perceived threat on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter,” the Flagler Sheriff’s Office stated this morning in a release.

Keep Rick Staly Our Sheriff Campaign The Keep Rick Staly Our Sheriff Campaign announced that it has donated $20,730.62 to the Flagler Sheriff s Employee Assistance Trust recently. These funds were left over from Sheriff Staly s reelection campaign fund. Florida law requires leftover campaign funds to be used for the Office of the Sheriff, refunded to contributors, transferred to the State of Florida or donated to a qualified charity. Local campaigns are not allowed to keep leftover contributions. Each contributor was sent a letter by Sheriff Staly explaining his plan to donated leftover campaign funds to FSEAT. The creation of FSEAT in 2017 was the vision of Sheriff Staly to support Sheriff s Office employees during an unexpected emergency in their personal life. It is funded by donations primarily from an annual Sheriff s Gala held in January of each year. The 2021 gala was cancelled because of the pandemic.

Elderly Man Charged With Child Molestation

Jan 14, 2021 11:35 AM Palm Coast, FL  - A 70-year-old Palm Coast man is charged with molesting a 15-year-old girl living in his home. The Flagler Sheriff s Office says they were alerted to the crime in August 2020 when the victim told  her mother, who had just arrived in Florida, about James McIntire and what had happened.  The victim told investigators that she was staying with McIntire and his wife while her mother was out-of-state from June through October 2019.  From the arrest report: On October 16, 2019, the victim wrote in her diary about all the times that Mr. McIntire touched her inappropriately or offered her alcoholic beverages. She wrote a list of 13 incidents that Mr. McIntire acted inappropriately to her. During the investigation, the victim s mother told detectives that about 27 years ago, when she was 14, McIntire touched her inappropriately but she was afraid to tell anyone at the time.
