Another 11-Year-Old Charged With Threats At School

Feb 8, 2021 12:55 PM Bunnell, FL - An 11-year-old Bunnell Elementary School student is charged with False Report Concerning the Use of Firearms in a Violent Manner after Flagler County Sheriff s Office (FCSO) deputies say he threatened a teacher.  Just last week, another student at the school made a threat to shoot up the school. Another Student Arrested Over School Shooting Threat Deputies received the information about the threat last Friday (February 5). The problem began on February 3 when the teacher said the student sang an inappropriate song about guns and shooting people while in class. She asked him to stop, saying that his behavior was unacceptable. The student s response was to search for guns on his school-issued laptop. The next day, the teacher reported the student pointed his iPad at her and stated, “I am goingto shoot you up!” while making gun noises. Third student in Flagler County arrested for alleged threats at school

When questioned by deputies, the 12-year-old admitted to making the threats but claimed it was only a joke and appeared remorseful and apologetic, according to the sheriff s office. The student was taken into custody and charged with false report concerning the use of firearms in a violent manner. The juvenile was booked at the Flagler County Jail and his case was turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice. He was released to his parents, pending a future court date by order of DJJ. Last week, an 11-year-old student St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School was arrested after he was accused of threatening to blow up the school. He told deputies he had only been joking. And also last week a student at Matanzas High School was arrested after recording a song in which he threatened to kill an administrator, according to a report. The student said he did not intend to carry out the threat, the report said.

FCSO: Man Tricks 15-Year-Old Into Relationship

Feb 5, 2021 3:14 PM Palm Coast, FL - An anonymous tip leads to the arrest of a 34-year-old Palm Coast man after investigators learned that he reportedly manipulated a 15-year-old girl into having a relationship with him. A report from the Flagler County Sheriff s Office (FCSO) says the tip came to the agency on January 9, launching the investigation. Detectives eventually met with the supposed victim who confirmed that the report was true. The victim told investigators that Gaston Santos Jr. manipulated her into believing that they were ina relationship and that he subsequently engaged in sexual intercourse. During the investigation, detectives were able to obtain evidence that Santos and the juvenile victim had sex at least two times since January 1. On Thursday (February 4th), detectives were able to track down Santos for an interview. Suspect Charged In Last Saturday s Homicide Near DeLand

Feb 4, 2021 9:43 AM DeLand, FL - It only took a few days for Volusia Sheriff s Office (VSO) detectives to track down the suspect in a homicide that happened last Saturday (January 30). They arrested 43-year-old Jesus Torres of Crescent City yesterday (February 3) in Flagler County.  VSO Investigating Death Of Man In DeLand Parking Lot The victim, identified as 44-year-old Vicente Alejo Verdel, was pronounced dead in the parking lot of Dixie s Gentlemen s Club.  Witnesses told detectives an altercation started inside the club, then moved outside. Surveillance video shows Torres knocking Verdel’s friend to the ground and punching him several times. After another exchange of words, Torres turned to Alejo Verdel, punching him several times and  incapacitating him. Verdel fell to the ground, motionless, as Torres continued to punch him several more times.  Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Verdel died as a result of blunt force trauma. His death

77-Year-Old Palm Coast Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

Feb 1, 2021 12:04 PM Palm Coast, FL - A five month investigation by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) Cyber Crimes Unit (CCU) after a tip from Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) resulted in an arrest warrant for  77-year-old Edgar Alloway. He s charged with twelve counts of Possession of Images of the Sexual Performance by a Child. The CyberTip identified an AOL account belonging to Alloway that had uploaded twenty files containing child pornography. A search warrant issued November 20, 2020 led to the seizure of several electronic devices  at 18 Banton Lane in Palm Coast, Alloway’s residence. Forensic analysis found numerous images and videos of child pornography. Due to the nature of the images, the charges were upgraded from third-degree felonies to second-degree.  The arrest warrant was issued on Friday, January 29, 2021. Alloway was arrested the same day, booked into the Flagler County Jail and released the next day on a $120,000
