EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan (WABC) An 80-year-old woman is dead after flames tore through her apartment in the East Village.
Video from the Citizen App showed firefighters responding to the blaze early Friday morning on East 5th Street.
The victim was found unconscious and badly burned inside a 7th floor apartment filled with clutter.
Firefighters say the fire is not suspicious.
They are working to determine if an electrical condition related to an air conditioner may have sparked the blaze.
Officials said the 80-year-old victim appeared to be hoarder and had a large amount of clutter in her apartment.
Two firefighters sustained minor injuries battling the blaze.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â The Buffalo Fire Department says one man has died in a fire in the city s Riverside neighborhood.
It started around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at 111 Roesch Avenue, just a few blocks away from Riverside Park.
Division Chief Daniel Bossi later told 7 Eyewitness News that the fire had engulfed the first floor of the home and was extending into the second floor by the time fire crews arrived at the scene.
The fire department says crews found the 56-year-old victim during a primary search in the second-floor bedroom, but they were unable to save him.
