Covid-19 hotspots in West Berkshire after 46 new cases

Calcot North and Little Heath recorded three cases and Thatcham North East recorded three. There were three in Thatcham West, another three in Kintbury and Boxford and three in Newbury Wash Common. Every other area of West Berkshire recorded fewer than three confirmed cases. Public Health England states: “For smaller areas with fewer than three cases, we do not show data. This is to protect individuals’ identities.” West Berkshire’s infection rate peaked at 607.8 cases per 100,000 people when the third national lockdown was announced on January 4, but it has been falling since then. By March 10, the infection rate had reached 29 cases per 100,000 people.
