WWII veteran from Kentucky celebrating 100th birthday this weekend Share Updated: 6:34 AM EDT Apr 11, 2021 WLKY Digital Team Share Updated: 6:34 AM EDT Apr 11, 2021 WLKY Digital Team A World War II Army veteran from Bardstown is having a big day this weekend.James Greathouse is turning 100 Saturday and Honor Flight Bluegrass took to social media to wish the veteran a happy birthday, and get other people to do the same.Greathouse first enlisted in the Army on July 20, 1942, and served in the European and Pacific Theaters of Operations during WWII. He earned the American Theater Ribbon, the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, the WWII Victory Medal and a Bronze Star.He also re-enlisted in 1946.Once Greathouse was done with his service, he worked and then retired from L&N Railroad, according to Honor Flight Bluegrass.Greathouse is a prince hall mason at St. Thomas Lodge and the oldest living member of his church, Canaan
The unavoidable meme of Alabama head coach Nick Saban starting each and every day with two Little Debbie oatmeal cream pie snack cakes is equal parts relatable on a human level and terrifying to those of us who lack the discipline to even eat breakfast regularly.
If his robotic discipline holds true, Saban has eaten more than 9,500 oatmeal cream pies since taking over in Tuscaloosa (ya know, if you ever need that sort of information for a weird trivia night.)
Still, even after 13 seasons of pure dominance in college football and an unholy amount of snack cakes, the correlation between Saban s tenure and his cookies fit neatly inside a small, clear, plastic package.

Via nypost.com. Everybody goes to 7-Eleven for a snack, even giant Asian Water Monitors. The world’s second largest lizard after the Komodo dragon invaded this store in Thailand shocking customers and bringing out cellphones.
It looks like he couldn t find what he was looking for in the beverage cooler, so he scaled a shelf of milk cartons and thought about his purchase near the Slushy machine.
So many questions. Does this happen often in Thailand? Do these giant reptiles roam the streets? Did the store clerk have to coax him down with Little Debbie cakes? Clean up in aisle one! Check it out.
