UPDATE 8.15am: Traffic on the A4042 north of Pontypool continues to be severely affected, as the map below illustrates. The A4042 remains closed northbound, and traffic is affected between Sebastopol and Little Mill.
UPDATE 7.55am: The crash has happened northbound between the Usk Road (Court Farm/Horse And Jockey) roundabout and the Old Abergavenny Road (Mamhilad) roundabout. There is currently a tailback to the Pontypool ( McDonalds ) roundabout. EMERGENCY services are in attendance following a crash near Pontypool.

Strathconon s new 4G coverage is among those to benefit from the project.
A RURAL Ross-shire community has become one of the first locations to benefit from efforts to plug gaps in the mobile network through a new partnership between government and business.
Mobile network EE has partnered with the Scottish Government and the Home Office to bring 4G to some of Scotlandâs most rural locations for the first time.
Strathconon was one of the first three in the country to benefit, with a further 32 locations to follow in the next six months â including Applecross and Polbain in Wester Ross and Killilan in Lochalsh.
