OKLAHOMA CITY â Despite bipartisan support, a measure that would have reinstated a controversial child seat belt law stalled in a House committee.
Up until 2016, Oklahoma had a law requiring children ages 8 and older to be buckled up while riding in the back seat, but supporters of the requirement said lawmakers repealed it and they have been pushing for five years to get it reinstated.
Oklahoma is now the only state in the country that doesnât require children to buckle up while riding in the back seat, said state Sen. Roland Pederson, R-Burlington, the Senate author.

A failed Tinder hook-up ended up as a date with the police for a Dunedin man at the weekend.
The 32-year-old man prompted a police callout after trying to enter a Douglas St, St Kilda, home for what he believed was a Tinder date, Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said

On March 2 the Driggs City Council approved a plat vacation for the large commercial and residential planned unit development. The plans for the 13-acre property included apartments, restaurants, retail and entertainment space, underground parking, and a civic center. The development received all necessary approvals from the city in 2008 but was put on hold when the recession hit.
While the city had granted the developer two extensions to build infrastructure in the first phase of the project, the second extension expired in 2019 with no more improvements having been made.
