KOKOMO, Ind. The Kokomo Police Department is investigating a shooting outside a Chuck E. Cheese that resulted in multiple people being detained.
Kokomo police said officers went to a Chuck E. Cheese located at 1919 S. Reed Road, near US 31, on Sunday for a report of shots fired.
Witnesses said two men were fighting when shots were fired. The man with the gun took off and police spotted him running near the Buffalo Wild Wings. Officers told him to drop the gun, and he did, but then he kept running.
When officers caught up to him, there was a struggle before officers were able to restrain him. They then identified the suspect as 20-year-old Demontez D. Lenoir. While officers were holding him, he broke free of the restraints and there was another struggle with officers.

Officers, obviously, really have to be prepared for anything.
Kokomo Police officers Samantha Raber and Gabrielle Uhrin got a first last weekend. I think it was more than just right place at the right time, said Raber. Divine intervention for sure, added Uhrin.
They were on another call when a young girl flagged them down, saying her mother needed help.
