Fort Madison, Ia- The Fort Madison Police Department has released an update on their investigation into a Monday shooting at Ivanhoe Park.
Police Chief Mark Rohloff says in a news release that the victim was identified as 31-year-old Brian Lee Scott of Fort Madison. Scott sustained a single gunshot wound to the leg and was subsequently treated and released from the hospital.
Reportedly, the victim was confronted by the suspects in the park regarding a debt they were collecting for a third party. The alleged shooter has been identified as 43-year-old Kyle Richardson of Fort Madison. Officers have also located the suspects’ vehicle as well as the shooter’s companion, 21-year-old Tiesha Renee Ann Marshall of Fort Madison. Both the vehicle and current residence were searched.

Demand has also risen from white-collar employees needing to clear space at home to create home offices as a result of the introduction of remote working.

Attorney General Mark Herring announced Tuesday that he has hired three former capital/public defenders as part of his efforts to expand his new Conviction Integrity Unit.
In January, Herring announced the creation of a Conviction Integrity Unit to identify and overturn wrongful convictions in Virginia. The unit is a distinct entity with a singular focus on evaluating and investigating claims of wrongful conviction, taking proactive steps to overturn wrongful convictions, and implementing important changes in the law that will finally allow for more wrongly convicted people to pursue their claims in the courts.

The Women in jazz series which was a staple at MovieTowne during April is being replaced by D Jazz in We.
The series which over the past nine years featured some of the best women jazz artistes in TT was cancelled last year due to the covid19 pandemic
From April 3, the new celebration, D Jazz in We will highlight four talented artistes on the Fiesta Plaza stage at Invaders Bay, Port of Spain. A media release from MovieTowne said the artistes will showcase many of the jazz standards as well as incorporate in their repertoire, a soca or calypso, performed in a cool Caribbean jazz style.
