Throughout the pandemic, pianist Davell Crawford has hosted several ‘invite only’ concerts with and for a few of his friends. This Wednesday, April 28 at 7pm CT, he's presenting an hour of video highlights from these private concerts, and WWOZ will be sharing it on Facebook.
Relay for Life has new leadership team for 28th year
Relay For Life of Monroe County has a new volunteer leadership team that is gearing up for its 28th Anniversary in 2021.
Casey O’Brien and Kyle Russell are joining Tina Russeau as this year’s Senior Leadership Team, said Kristen Pilon, Senior Development Manager for the American Cancer Society that benefits from funds raised through the relay.
“They’re all eager to get started on this year’s socially distanced events,” Pilon said in a press release. “For the 2021 year, we’re doing things a little differently. The 28th Relay won’t be our traditional in-person event. What we’re planning will be socially distanced, safe and just as fun as ever. Volunteers are still hammering out the details and are open to any ideas.”
