A Publix sub saga, penalties for keeping rocket parts and a brazen wedding couple.

More people have been getting their second doses of COVID-19 vaccine. You may be sleepy, sore, queasy, fuzzy around the edges, which means your immune system is doing its job.
But how can you be sure if youâre reading real Florida news or experiencing a vaccine fever dream? As always, the Sunshine State feels one blink shy of reality. Iâm not even talking about the Legislature shoehorning dead bills into education packages at the last second, the way one crams an I HEART NY mug into oneâs backpack at LaGuardia Airport.
Dickey, who graduated from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, said he also may use the account to share his interactions with the company, which became icier as the account grew in popularity. He said he no longer intends to profit from notifying Publix customers about sub sales which he said specifically agitated the grocery chain s lawyers.
In his interview, Dickey acknowledged he became greedy after realizing the value of the service he built, which included a related text-messaging feature and sales of Publix subs-branded merchandise.
Dickey said lawyers for Publix sent him ominous, cease-and-desist demands citing Section 43 of the Lanham Act, a 1946 federal law protecting trademarks. That provision of the law describes false designation of origin and false description or representation.
A big clue about what happened: In another post, the Twitter account said it had received a cease-and-desist order from Publix objecting to a related text-message notification service. The account promised more details “later this week” but never shared more information.
Since then, dozens of hungry Twitter users have tweeted at the account asking where they went, whether everything was OK and earnestly asking what subs might be on sale.
Who’s behind the accounts about Publix subs?
It’s Bryan Dickey, a 26-year-old University of Central Florida graduate and customer experience advocate at Postscript, a San Francisco-based text-messaging and marketing firm, according to his LinkedIn page. It identified him as founder and content creator of PubSub Creative LLC, which was described as a “niche digital community around Publix subs.”

Hello and welcome to Wednesday.
Coming soon There’s not a lot of doubt that the Republican-controlled Florida Legislature urged by Gov. Ron DeSantis and fueled by the falsehoods about rampant voter fraud will pass a bill to impose new rules on how Floridians vote.
