GULF SHORES, ALA. – Kyle Odegard picked up his third career All-American honor on Wednesday, placing third in men’s javelin at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships. The VCSU junior recorded a top throw of 61.97 meters (203 feet, 3 inches) on his second attempt of the day, finishing third amongst the top javelin throwers in the nation. Leon Menten of Lewis-Clark won the national title with his throw of 66.38 meters Wednesday. It is the third time Odegard has competed at outdoor nationals and the third time he has finished in the Top 8 to earn All-American. Odegard finished seventh in 2018 and placed fourth in 2019.
