WASHINGTON (HOI) The Washington High community is planning a memorial after the husband of a school employee, his daughter and two of her teenage friends were killed in a crash earlier this week.
47-year-old Seth W. Phillips was driving on Interstate 55 in Logan County Wednesday night when he lost control in heavy rain, crossed the median, and crashed into a semi-truck head-on.
Phillips and three teenagers on board were all killed. A 13-year-old was also seriously hurt.
The Washington Community High School is planning a memorial service for those involved in the crash.
Superintendent Washington CHSD #308 Kyle Freeman says news of the crash has been heartbreaking and he hopes the service will serve as a starting point for the grieving process for the whole community.

-8:45 a.m.: probation violation. Aaron V. Davenport, 29, of Piqua, was served a warrant.
-2:31 a.m.: driving under the influence. Kyle Freeman, 29, of Sidney, was arrested for OVI.
