South Korean auto major Kia Motors on Wednesday said it has crossed 1 lakh cumulative sales milestone of its connected cars in India within 16 months of starting operations in the country.
One out of two Kia cars sold in India is a connected car, which is equipped with the company s UVO connect system, an advanced and dynamic solution that seamlessly integrates smartphone or smartwatch with the car and its infotainment system into a single unit, Kia Motors India said in a statement.

Kia cars fitted with UVO technology account for more than 55 per cent contribution to the total sales of the company in India. The best-selling connected car variant is the Kia Seltos GTX Plus DCT 1.4 Turbo model, which contributed to almost 15 per cent of Kia s total connected car sales.

Kia Motors India presently sells three models Sonet, Seltos and Carnival and all of them are equipped with the UVO connect technology.

The Kia Sonet is priced between Rs 6.71 lakh and Rs 12.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
HIGHLIGHTS
The largest-selling connected model is the Seltos 1.4-litre turbo-petrol DCT GTX+.
The UVO connect technology offers 57 smart features to the customers.
Kia Motors India today announced that it has sold 1 lakh units of connected vehicles in the country since commencing the sales operations here in August 2019. The automaker presently sells the Sonet, Seltos and Carnival, with all three models boasting of the UVO connect technology.
