Three Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbour Cranes, with versatile operation modes, outstanding mobility and high spare parts availability, are boosting container handling performance for Fiji Port Terminal Limited.
Since 2006, Fiji Port Terminal has been operating three HMK 300 E Mobile Harbor Cranes, two at Suva and one at Lautoka, where they provide flexible and reliable handling of containers and general cargo.
Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes are a cost-effective solution for remote locations because they do not need the investment in infrastructure such as rails that a ship-to-shore gantry crane would require.
India supplies two mobile harbour cranes to Iran’s Chabahar port
India on Monday said it has supplied a consignment of two mobile harbour cranes to Iran’s Chabahar port with a total contract value of over $25 million.
The move will enable the port to carry out seamless cargo handling services.
“India has supplied a consignment of two Mobile Harbour Cranes (MHC) to Iran’s Chabahar port…under a contract agreement for supply of 6 MHC,” the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said in a statement.
The consignment of cranes arrived from Marghera port, Italy and was unloaded successfully on Monday at Chabahar. The cranes are presently undergoing trial run.

India over the weekend supplied a consignment of 2 140-ton Mobile Harbour Cranes (MGC) for Chabahar that will strengthen the cargo handling capacity of the port.
Union Minister of Ports and Shipping Mansukh Mandaviya said, Chabahar Port is a strategic port with great national importance. The delivery of a consignment of heavy equipment, including cranes, shows India’s commitment to the strategic connectivity of the Chabahar port project that will provide access to markets in Central Asia which will give the port further boost to the maritime trade between both the countries.
