Cassidy Johnson sat on a stool at a high-top table at the Spin Clean Coin Laundry in Monroe, waiting as her clothes sloshed inside a high-capacity washing machine.
She was resolute about COVID-19 vaccines. I have not taken it, and I will not take it, said Johnson, 33, of Monroe. I already have an autoimmune disease and definitely will not be putting something else in my body that I don t feel like needs to be there.
The Canadian Forces will deploy up to three medical teams in Ontario to provide support to hospitals that are struggling to deal with an influx of COVID-19 patients. Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Bill Blair announced the support late on Monday afternoon in response to a formal request for help from Ontario’s Solicitor General Sylvia Jones. According to a news release, the Canadian Forces will be deploying up to three “multi-purpose medical assistance teams” which will primarily be composed of nursing officers and medical technicians as well as additional Canadian Forces members “for general duty support.” The release says that the teams will be “rotated in and out of the province rather than deployed simultaneously to ensure that CAF support is sustainable.

COVID-19 Vaccination On Tap For Children Ages 12-15 In AZ
The Arizona Department of Health Services says it’s ready to offer Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine to children between the ages of 12 and 15. The announcement comes after the Food and Drug Administration authorized the vaccine for the youngest age group yet.
ADHS announced Tuesday it s now waiting for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to support the vaccine for the age demographic. Depending on the CDC’s response, Arizona’s state-run sites in metro-Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma and Flagstaff could begin administering the vaccine to children as early as Thursday.
