New Mexico COVID-19 Update: 659 New Cases, Total Now 184,736 With 14 New Deaths And 141,833 Patients Recovered
SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials today announced 659 additional COVID-19 cases.
Los Alamos County reports 3 new case today bringing the total to 480 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)
Today’s update includes 14 more deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.
The New Mexico Department of Health reports today’s most recent cases:
209 new cases in Bernalillo County
8 new cases in Chaves County
1 new case in Cibola County

The streak of days with 500 or fewer newly reported cases of COVID-19 was ended on Friday after nearly two weeks, when the state reported 659 new cases, along with 14 additional deaths.
The new increase of cases came largely with 209 new cases in Bernalillo County and 191 at the Lea County Correctional Facility. Doña Ana County, with 58, was the only other county with even 30 newly reported cases.
DOH has now found 184,736 cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic and reported 3,685 deaths related to the disease. Of the confirmed cases, 141,833 are designated as recovered by the department.
As of Friday, DOH reported 226 people were hospitalized for COVID-19, the lowest number since Oct. 13. This could include those from other states who are hospitalized in New Mexico, but would not include New Mexico residents who are hospitalized in other states.

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials on Wednesday announced 448 additional COVID-19 cases. Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are:

70 new cases in Doña Ana County
100 new cases in Eddy County

Los Alamos County reports 1 new case today bringing the total to 477 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)
Today’s update includes 13 more deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials on Thursday announced 299 additional COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths. As of today, there are 245 individuals hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19. This number may include individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 out of state but are currently hospitalized in New Mexico. This number does not include New Mexicans who tested positive for COVID-19 and may have been transferred to a hospital out of state.
