The paper and a presentation were given at on this project at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress in Quebec City, Canada (2008). Introduction This paper describes the work of the National Library of Australia in designing a workflow solution for the highest priority preservation risks confronting its collection of digital materials on physical carriers such as handheld optical and magnetic disks.
