A SOCIAL MEDIA influencer has taken to Instagram to share a racist incident she faced in a supermarket, after she offered to pay for someone’s shopping.
Ola Pelovangu, who has over 35,000 Instagram followers, was shopping at a local Sainsbury’s with her family when she offered to help another mother pay for her groceries.
The white woman could not find her card.
Writing on her Instagram story, Ola explained that the woman was “so stressed [and]on the verge of tears as she was frantically searching for her card as her baby screamed.

BBC receives 564 complaints over Woman’s Hour interview with Zara Mohammed

The BBC has received 564 complaints over a Woman’s Hour interview with the first female leader of the Muslim Council of Britain.
Zara Mohammed was interviewed by presenter Emma Barnett and was repeatedly asked about the number of female imams in Britain.
According to the BBC’s fortnightly complaints report, the main issue in the complaints was “bias against Zara Mohammed/Muslim Council of Britain”.
