VOT Director and Voice Department Chair Gayle Shay and VOT Music Director Jennifer McGuire had originally planned to present the beloved work as a fully staged opera this fall. But in light of COVID safety protocols and restrictions, the pair decided to pivot to video, opening up a host of creative possibilities.
