News by Sam Clench 25th May 2021 5:04 AM A 24-year-old woman has plunged to her death at a late-night rooftop party in New York City. Cameron Perrelli, a finance worker, was among the revellers at a birthday party in East Village in the early hours of Saturday morning. At about 3am, she lost her footing and fell off the edge of the building. The party took place on the roof of an apartment building at 202 Avenue A. Police believe Ms Perrelli was trying to cross to the roof of the adjacent building, 200 Avenue A, when she fell, though their investigation is ongoing.

Cameron Perrelli, 24, was attending a gathering on the roof of a building on Avenue A near E. 12th St. early Saturday morning when she lost her footing near the ledge and fell off, cops said.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and leaders of Broadway gathered in Times Square Friday to speak to Broadway’s reopening and the passage of the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program.
Members of the Broadway community, including Broadway League President Charlotte St. Martin and League Chair Lauren Reid, praised Schumer for spearheading the grant legislation, which is seen as a means to bring back the industry
. However, funding for the grant program has been delayed, and as underlined in the press conference, there are still many other unresolved issues for Broadway’s return, including vaccination requirements, safety protocols and the date for the Tony Awards.

Randall s Island Park NEW YORK (PRWEB) May 24, 2021 The Randall’s Island Park Alliance (RIPA) is the recipient of a $40,000 Urban and Community Forestry Program grant from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) Division of Lands and Forests. The grant will allow RIPA to create a Community Forest Management Plan (CFMP), which will include retaining an ISA Certified Arborist and consulting with NYC Parks Forestry to develop a Tree Inventory with maintenance recommendations for over 3,000 landscape trees at the Park.
