Two dead after chase near West Yellowstone

WEST YELLOWSTONE â Gallatin County Sheriff Dan Springer says the bodies of two people were found in a wooded area near highways 191 and 287 early this morning.
Springer says both are homicide suspects from the Billings area.
The sheriff says that about 10:30 pm Thursday night Yellowstone National Park Rangers attempted to make a routine traffic stop of a vehicle on Highway 191. He says the vehicle fled until it neared Duck Creek Road and 191. At that point, the two people inside fled into the woods.

BOZEMAN â Gallatin County Sheriff Dan Springer has selected a sheriffâs office captain to be his undersheriff.
This week, Jeremy Kopp was chosen to be the next undersheriff for the Gallatin County Sheriffâs Office.
Undersheriff Kopp is a native Montanan who graduated from Anaconda Senior High School before beginning his career of service in the U.S. Army in 1994. That is where he found his professional calling in service to his country and later public service to his community with the Gallatin County Sheriff s Office.
Gallatin County Appoints New Undersheriff

Newly appointed Gallatin County Sheriff Dan Springer has selected a sheriff’s office captain to be his undersheriff. Jeremy Kopp has been chosen to be the next undersheriff for the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office.
