BOZEMAN, Mont. â Â Montana State Universityâs 134th commencement will be held at Bobcat Stadium rather than Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in an effort to minimize the risk from COVID-19 to students, faculty, staff and guests.
Two ceremonies will take place on May 1 starting with the first ceremony starts at 9 a.m. featuring graduates from MSU Agriculture, Arts & Architecture, Letters & Science and the Gallatin College.
The second ceremony starts at 1:30 p.m. featuring graduates from the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship, College of Education, Health and Human Development, the Norm Asbjornson College of Engineering and the College of Nursing.
The total number of candidates for graduation is just over 2,400, including bachelorâs, masterâs, doctoral and associate degrees and certificates and they expect around 1,650 students to take part in the ceremonies.
Bitterroot College Kicks Off Graduation Season
Friday afternoon, the Bitterroot College UM in Hamilton will conduct its 2021 Graduation Ceremony at the Daly Mansion lawn, under the big tent. This is the traditional location for the annual ceremony, which was not held last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The sixteen 2021 graduates will be in the processional at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 30.
Bitterroot College Director Victoria Clark will welcome the class and the Keynote Speaker this year is Ravalli County Legislator David Bedey, who was one of the main supporters of successful legislative establishment the future Bitterroot Community College District. There will also be faculty and student speakers at the ceremonies and special awards. The motto for the graduating class - Nil Volentibus Arduum Nothing is impossible for the willing. All invitees of graduates are welcome. No reservations are needed.

BOZEMAN, Mont. - Montana State University is holding the spring 2021 graduation in person May 1 at the Bobcat Stadium.
According to a release from MSU, each graduating student may invite up to four people to attend the ceremony in-person. MSU will take RSVPs beginning Everyone must April 9 from people who plan to attend the ceremony and guests will receive tickets digitally.
Everyone must wear a mask throughout the whole ceremony and adhere to COVID-19 social distancing.
Guests may park for free on campus; however, they may not park in reserved spaces. MSU will run shuttles to bring guests from the parking lots to the stadium.

There will be two outdoor ceremonies in the stadium. The Colleges of Agriculture, Arts and Architecture, Letters and Science and Gallatin College will begin at 9 a.m., with the processional beginning at 8:40 a.m.
