Stole alloy wheels from rear of garage

A man who stole a number of alloy wheels and a vehicle sump in Boyle was convicted of the offences at Carrick-on-Shannon District Court.
Jason Sweeney, 1 Woodview, Dalton Terrace, Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon pleaded guilty to stealing three alloy wheels, value €50, and a vehicle sump, value €25, property of Daniel Geelan at Greatmeadow, Boyle on August 29, 2020. He also pleaded guilty to, on the same date at Ross Lane, Boyle, stealing ten alloy wheels, value €200, property of Thomas Sheerin.
The defendant made full admissions when questioned and all the property was recovered and returned to the owners.
Woman convicted of littering in Ballinamore

A woman who left rubbish outside her boyfriend’s house which then went missing and was found dumped nearby was convicted of littering at Carrick-on-Shannon District Court.
Alesha Hurlock, Lisnatullagh, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim was convicted of the offence under the Litter Pollution Action which took place on April 21, 2020 at Carrickmakeegan, Ballinamore.
Litter Warden, David McGovern, told the court he found evidence of a cardboard box with the defendant’s name on it and a litter fine of €150 was issued but was not paid.
Alesha Hurlock said she was living in Ballinamore at the time with her then boyfriend but is now living in Enniskillen.
