SCHENECTADY - After more than a year, a few City Council members are expressing a desire to resume in-person meetings to discuss city business with all the recommended safety protocols in place. But it remains to be seen if and when that will happen.
City Council President John Mootooveren emphasized during Monday s City Council Committee meeting that he wanted full buy-in from every single member of the panel before heading back to the larger of the two rooms where they usually gather. My whole thing is that I would like a 100 percent input on this, and if one or two council members are not comfortable in meeting in person until everything is OK, I have no objection with that, he said. He later clarified that the governing body would continue meeting virtually until all five of them was onboard with meeting in person.
