Well, here we are for another week of Roker Riches action. Two league games, and two very different performances (and results) in a week, to say the least. How Sunderland is that?!
Sadly, it is all too typical that we can have two semi-convincing run-outs, scoring five goals and keeping two clean sheets, only to lose at home to a team that haven’t won away for about a year. In the process we have seen the emergence of O’Brien as an attacking outlet and assist provider; we have lost Gooch due to an asymptomatic Covid diagnosis; we have lost Willis (again) due to his knee issue re occurring in an innocuous looking slide tackle, and we have seen our highest scoring striker go from hero to zero, with an away hat-trick being followed by one of his dullest performances for some time.

Kingswood has launched an advice academy designed to recruit aspiring financial planners who are looking to start or switch careers into the wealth sector.
The first group of four trainee advisers from across the UK have started a 24-month programme and will receive a Diploma in Financial Planning, upon completion.
As part of the training, candidates will acquire new technical and people skills, and develop their financial planning knowledge.
The two-year programme, which began on Monday 11 January, will have a 13-week rotation in wealth planning where they will be shadowing a wealth planner during this period.
In addition to set projects and tasks throughout the programme, the candidates are required to participate in external and internal training sessions. They will also be given study time to revise for and pass their examinations.
