U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Holly, joined growing calls to remove President Donald Trump from office before the next president is sworn in on Jan. 20, citing concerns from high ranking military officials that Trump is unfit for office.
Slotkin, a former CIA analyst and Pentagon official, said she’s been in conversation with senior military officials at the Pentagon who are concerned about the president’s mental health. Members of Congress were forced to evacuate offices and barricade themselves as pro-Trump protesters broke into the U.S. Capitol and disrupted the certification of Electoral College votes.
