SANDUSKY, Ohio Carrie Boldman was too young to drive when she first started working at Cedar Point, taking tickets from guests as they entered the park.
“I remember my sister dropping me off at work because I didn’t have a license yet,” said Boldman, who grew up in Huron, about 10 miles east of the park.
Fast forward more than four decades, and Boldman, who returned to Huron 10 years years ago, can certainly drive herself to work now – as the new vice president and general manager of Cedar Point.

Cedar Point is offering extra inducements to attract seasonal workers this summer.
The amusement park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 17, is hosting a hiring event at the Cedar Point Recruiting Center, 2220 First St., in Sandusky. Recruiters will conduct on-the-spot interviews for attendees as Cedar Point continues to fill its 6,500 positions within the park. Cedar Point said in a news release that available positions are in resort accommodations, housekeeping, restroom facilities, park services, ride operations, retail, games, food and beverage, maintenance, traffic operations, behind-the-scenes operations, security and more.

SANDUSKY, Ohio Cedar Point is a summer getaway that is making “herstory.”
The amusement park announced that Carrie Boldman has been named the first Vice President and General Manager of Cedar Point in 150 years of operation.
“As a Huron native who grew up coming to Cedar Point and spent six years working here as a seasonal associate, I am tremendously proud to have the opportunity lead this talented team,” said Boldman, whose two daughters also work at the park. “The park has been a vital part of the Sandusky community for 150 years, and I look forward to forging even stronger connections with our guests through fun, immersive experiences.”
