CLEVELAND A 3News Investigates review of emails from local health officials reveal there were no existing plans to combat the spread of COVID-19 inside jails and prisons.
This lack of planning foreshadowed the vast uncontrolled spread of COVID-19 infections to thousands of Ohio inmates and the deaths of at least 77. 3News Investigates obtained the emails of local health commissioners for the first week of March 2020, just as the virus was about to strike Ohio.
Farnworth Cricket Club THE boss of an upcoming music festival in Farnworth says the event will hopefully allow things to move forward with a bang post lockdown. Farnworth Live, billed as the area’s first-ever music festival, will be held at Farnworth Cricket Club, in Lavender Road. And after a lengthy delay due to the pandemic and ongoing lockdown restrictions, Gary Daniels hopes the event can be a big occasion for locals. The event is due to finally go ahead on Saturday, July 10, with a host of top tribute artists on the bill. They include Elton John, Tina Turner, Lionel Richie and Spice Girls acts.
Instead of creating laws that would reduce the prison population, lawmakers are passing laws that could increase the number of prisoners who are living in coronavirus hotbeds.
