A man who was 21 when he had sex with a 16-year-old boy he met on Tinder has been jailed for one year.
Shane Chubb, now aged 24, pleaded guilty to one count of engaging in sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 17 between April 13 and April 15, 2017.
Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard that the boy was a virgin.
Chubb also pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting the boy on April 15, 2017 at Chubb’s home at Cookstown Road, Tallaght. He has no previous convictions.
Sergeant Gary Farrell told the court that the victim, who is legally entitled to anonymity, joined the Tinder dating app in 2016 before being removed because he was under the age of 18.
Grape Expectations: 2018 Gary Farrell Russian River Valley Chardonnay
The Columbus Dispatch
Price: $39.99
Aroma: crisp, citrusy mix of quince, guava, coconut
Flavor: fresh peach, white mulberry, fleshed out by excellent tartness; restrained oak
Notes: Even with climate change and its effect on so much of California wine country, the Russian River Valley appellation continues to be an oasis for makers of northern grapes such as pinot noir and chardonnay. An excellent dry white, priced accordingly.

#53-2020
The 2018 Russian River Chardonnay from Gary Farrell, might be called a “cross-breed” in that it seems to share some of the characteristics of both a Northern California Chardonnay, as well as some attributes normally associated with French White Burgundies. It does not have the big fruit of a lot of California wines, nor does it have the more austere qualities usually found in the big white Burgundies. However, it does have good fruit mixed with a somewhat mineral backed dryness. It is both complex and classy.
The nose is bright and inviting with the scent of apples escorted by a slight citrus breeze. The flavors are apple, pear, and a little vanilla, with a chalky, mineral background. The finish is clean, and does not compete with the flavors of the food. The alcohol content is 13.3%, and Norm’s score is 90.
