Sycamore). The Neapolitan pizza parlor is named after Reichertâs grandmother, âa firecracker of a lady who was always welcoming people in as if they were family, to eat, drink, and be merry,â she says. The restaurant has 17 seats. Besides pizza with a âlight, pillowy crust,â a quick glimpse at the menu reveals bites like whipped salt cod, arancini, eggplant caponata, pork meatballs, oven-roasted broccoli, and charred winter squash.

The drab development at Hillcrest Village is getting a major facelift.

Today, the northwest corner of Hillcrest and Arapaho roads in Far North Dallas is a construction zone flanked by largely vacant storefronts. But by spring, developer David Sacher says he wants “to give the neighborhood its neighborhood village back,” with a half dozen restaurants opening out onto a 1.5-acre city-owned park that has gotten the nickname “a mini Klyde Warren Park.”
