Its recipients are examples of how a solid educational foundation from ACC can launch a lifetime of achievements. The 2020 Distinguished Graduate was Thomas Sobeck (’88), president and chief financial officer of Presque Isle Electric and Gas Cooperative. Other past recipients of the honor include Keith Wallace, Dr. James E. Stoddard, Frank McCourt, Roger Bauer, and Kurt Golder.

To get a match, the genetic make-up has to be similar. With two in three of those people not finding a perfect match within their family, they must turn to the worldwide donor registry and rely on a stranger to save their lives.
