The Avs fell 4-2 to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday to open the set. After taking a 2-0 lead in the first frame, Colorado gave up two power-play goals in the second and surrendered a late go-ahead goal to Adrian Kempe with 3:56 left in the contest. The Kings went on to tally an empty-net mark to finish the game.
