Portland will begin clearing more homeless camps after pandemic pause     PORTLAND, Oregon (KPTV) The city of Portland is promising to do more to clean up homeless camps following a year with fewer sweeps due to the pandemic. Monday is the first day of the renewed efforts. It’s been more than a year since the city of Portland put a pause on its normal, routine sweeps of homeless camps. “When the pandemic happened, it changed everything dramatically,” manager Cameron Bell with Homeplace Furniture and Design said. Businesses around the Delta Park area said it’s been stunning to watch the camps, structures, cars and garbage pile up like never before.

New £3 million headquarters for Fife business set to open next month By Ian Forsyth © Kenny Smith A new £3 million headquarters for Fife-based business Purvis Group is set to open next month. The Covid-19 lockdown last March delayed the relocation of the company to a 16-acre headquarter site at Lochgelly, which will have 100,000 sq ft of warehousing and 30,000 sq ft of offices. It is expected to be fully open next month. Until now, Purvis Group has been using yards at Cartmore Industrial Estate, but the business, established in 1980 by Bob Purvis, has outgrown them. A new headquarters for Purvis Group is set to be fully open by next month
