Rob Hewett, Co-Chair of Silver Fern Farms Limited has been re-elected to the Silver Fern Farms Co-operative Limited’s Board of Directors. Gabrielle Thompson, who was a Board Appointed Director, has also been elected to the Co-operative Board by farmer shareholders.
The Board was delighted with the calibre and number of candidates that put themselves for election. Those that were unsuccessful were William Oliver, Simon Davies, Rob Kempthorne and Charles Douglas-Clifford. We thank them for their ongoing commitment to Silver Fern Farms.

Approximately 3,000 soldiers from France, the United Kingdom and the U.S. Army have begun a multinational warfighter exercise at Fort Hood.
Named “Warfighter 21-4,” the exercise is designed to reinforce the U.S. Army’s ability to conduct large-scale combat operations with unified action partners, Army.mil reported.
It will also certify the top headquarters unit at Fort Hood â III Corps â for future deployment operations, the Fort Hood Sentinel reported.
The French Army sent about 1,300 soldiers, the United Kingdom sent about 1,000 soldiers and about 600 U.S. Army soldiers are participating in the exercise, according to the Sentinel report.
U.S. troops come from Fort Hood, Fort Bliss, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Grafenwoehr, Germany.
Residents in high risk areas were allowed to head home about 1.15pm, but the advice remains for all areas under beach and marine threat to stay off beach and shore areas.
