I was concentrating on something else as we drove on the newly built Johnsonville pavement. He did not get an answer. But Habakkuk knew the condition of the route on which we were riding. We had plied that same route before. At that time, the road was then worse than any Southeastern road or any provincial road in the raining season. Johnsonville road was a complete and clear catastrophe. It was a total disgrace to modern man.

MONROVIA An international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) named and styled Mary Himmie Youth Rehabilitation Foundation, based in the United States and Liberia, has ended a one day awareness program aimed at giving hope and instituting plans and programs to curtail the huge number of disadvantaged youths across the country.
Disadvantaged youths are commonly known as “zogos” in Liberia.

Between 1998 and 2001, I was serving in an office on the 10th floor of the Ministry of Finance when news about a scandal at the Revenue Department broke out. Major newspapers in Monrovia reported it on their front pages. The reports were so revealing and damning that the scandal captured the attention of people in high places. It became the talk of the town.
As a way of covering up the incident, authorities at the Finance Ministry ostensibly apprehended the director of that unit and other suspects of the corruption scandal and forwarded them to the Justice Ministry. But that did not solve the problem, and stealing public funds in government official circles (i.e. Corruption) continued unabated.

A press release from the World Foof Program (WFP) has said that residents of Grand Gedeh and Maryland Counties in the southeast and Bong County in Central Liberia last week began receiving COVID-19 Household Food Support Programme (COHFSP) food packages.
According to the release, the food distribution exercise kicked off in the three counties and it is expected to reach more than 87,000 households including nearly 17,000 in Grand Gedeh, 26,000 in Maryland and 45,000 in Bong.
COHFSP food package which contains 50 kg rice, one-gallon vegetable oil, and about 30 cups of beans per household – was rolled out in Grand Gedeh and Maryland Counties.
